Description
You are bidding on a 8 x 10 black and white photograph of HMCS Mahone J159, the Bangor Class Minesweeper which served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1941 to 1945.The Mahone, began her life on August 13, 1940, at the North Vancouver Ship Repair yards. She was launched on November 14, 1940, and commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy on September 29, 1941.
She served as an ocean escort and was paid off in 1945. She was transferred to the Turkish Navy in 1958.
Photograph one is undated and shows an overall waterline port beam view.
Item two is an 8 x 10 colour statistics sheet showing the ships unofficial badge, general characteristics, callsigns ( J159, 192, and P123 ), trivia and the ensigns she proudly flew.
Item three is an 8 x 10 colour with a short history of the Mahone, complete with a list of her Commanding Officers, and an undated crew photo.
The statistics and history sheet is my own personal design.
