    Description

    You are bidding on an 8 x 10 black and white photograph of HMCS Annan K 404  the River Class Frigate which served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1944 to 1945.
    The Annan began her life as HMS Annan, on June 10, 1943, at Hull Russell shipyards in Scotland. She was launched on December 29, 1943, and after completion was turned over to Canada and commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy on January 13, 1944.
    She served mostly in United Kingdom waters, and in October 1944, sank German u-boat U-1006.
    She was returned to the Royal Navy in June 1945 and in November was sold to Denmark serving as HDMS Niels Ebbesen until being broken up in 1963.
    Photograph one, is undated and shows an overall waterline port  bow view.
    Item two is an 8 x 10 colour statistics sheet showing the ships badge, general characteristics, callsign, trivia and the ensigns she proudly flew.
