    Description

    You are bidding on a 8 x 10 black and white  photograph of HMCS Sackville K181, a Flower Class (39-40 program) Corvette. The Sackville is the last corvette and has been restored to her WWII appearance and is a floating museum in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
    The Sackville began her long life in the Saint John Dry Dock and Shipbuilding company in New Brunswick on 28 May 1940. She was launched on 15 May 1941 and was commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy on 30 December 1941.
    After the war she was converted into an loop layer, a cable layer in 1959 and was employed on oceanographic work until paying off in December 1982. She was restored to her 1944 appearance and can be seen in Halifax Harbour.
    Photograph one , is an undated 8 x 10 shows an overall waterline starboard bow view.
