    Description

    You are bidding on an 8 x 10 black and white photograph of HMCS Giffard K 402, the Revised Flower ( Increased Endurance ) Class Corvette which served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1943 to 1945.
    Giffard, was laid down, on November 30, 1942, for the Royal Nay, as HMS Buddleia, at the Alexander Hall and Company shipyards, at Aberdeen, Scotland. She was launched on June 19, 1943, and commissioned in the Royal Canadian Navy on November 30, 1943.
    She was utilized as an ocean escort, and was paid off in 1945, and scrapped in 1952.
    Photograph one is undated and shows an  overall waterline port quarter view.
    Item two is an 8 x 10 colour statistics sheet showing the ships badge , general characteristics, callsign, trivia, and the ensigns she proudly flew.
    Item three is an 8 x 10 colour with a short history of the Giffard, complete with a list of her Commanding Officers, and a crew photograph
