    Description

    You are bidding on a 8 x 10 black and white photograph of HMCS Alberni K 103, a Flower Class (39-40 program) Corvette which served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1941 till her tragic loss in 1944.
    Alberni, was laid down on April 19, 1940, at the Yarrow Ltd, shipyards in Esquimalt. She was launched on August 22, 1940, and commissioned on February 4, 1941.
    Alberni was lost in action on August 21, 1944.
    Photograph one, is undated, and shows an overall waterline starboard beam view.
    Item two is an 8 x 10 colour statistics sheet showing the ships unofficial badge, general characteristics, callsign, trivia and the ensigns she proudly flew.
    Item three is an 8 x 10 colour with a short history of the Alberni , complete with a list of her Commanding Officers, and a crew photo.
