    Hawaiian coin, one Hawaiian dollar, 1883
    In 1883, silver coins were minted in denominations of 10 cents (umi keneta), quarter dollar (hapaha), half dollar (hapalua) and one dollar (akahi dala).
    The vast majority of the coins were minted on the same pattern as the corresponding US coins at the San Francisco Mint, and 26 coins of each denomination for representative purposes were minted at the Philadelphia Mint.
