Heavy Cast iron Lanterns - Hinged Doors - Beautiful Lanterns!
This listing is for both lanterns.
These lanterns have a ton of rust and chipping of the original coating. One lantern has less chipping / loss of coating than the other.
Both doors are intact and swing freely ( both latches and knobs are present )
These were coated originally. A lot of the coating is missing, cracked, chipped, worn, rusty and shows heavy wear / weathering - please see zoom all photos.
Measurements:
Height - 10.75 inches tall without hanger / with hanger 12.75"
Roof measures - 7 inches squared
Foot print - 6 inches squared
inside bottom recess is 4.5 inches in diameter
The bottoms are empty. I'm guessing that a flat bottomed globe may have went in these or a round hurricane glass went inside.
A metal plate could be cut and placed inside to hold a candle or leave as it is and place it in the garden :)
These would be nice stripped and powder coated a cheery color :)
